Due to the impending inclement weather, the after-school program and other activities are canceled for tomorrow evening, Tuesday January 24th.
There is the possibility of school closing on Wednesday. If the conditions warrant, another notice will be made and it will be a distance learning (packet) day. Teachers will prepare age appropriate activities for their students.

Grand View basketball teams will be playing in the Cherokee County Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Chargers will play Woodall in the championship game at 2:00 p.m. The Charger boys will play Keys at 11:00 a.m. in the third place game. All games are being held at the TMAC. Good luck to both teams!
The Chargers will be competing in the area tournament starting January 28th. To show our support and send them into the tournament, we are having Charger Spirit Week. We will be having an ongoing spirit contest between grade levels.
The following are the themes for the week:
Monday- Crazy Day (Crazy hair, socks, shoes, shirts, etc.)
Tuesday- Decades Day (Dress in 60's, 70's, or 80's fashion.)
Wednesday-Pajama Day
Thursday- Tacky Tourist Day
Friday- CHARGER PRIDE DAY- Wear blue and gold in support of our Chargers!
PTO Skate Night will NOT be held tonight, 1/17/23, at the Skate House. It will be rescheduled. New notes will be passed out with the new date when we reschedule.

PTO cookie dough fundraiser starts January 12th and goes until January 25th. Packets will be going home with your students. The grand prize is $100.00 for the most sold, $50.00 for second place and $25.00 for third place. Make sure to look in your packets for more prize information.
Reminders for this week:
No Boys & Girls Club after school on Friday, January 13th and no school Monday, January 16th.
Report cards for grades 3-8 will be emailed to parents. If you do not receive the report card by the end of Monday, January 9th, contact the Grand View office at 918-456-5131.
If you have a doctor’s note to cover an absence for the second quarter, (October 10-December 16), please get the documentation to the office by January 20.

On November 17th Grand View School will go purple for World Pancreatic Cancer Day. We do this to show awareness and support for pancreatic cancer, and to honor our former administrator, the late Mr. Steve Gillman!
