Lights On! Is a nationwide program to encourage and showcase the wonderful after school and summer programs that offer a wide variety of learning experiences for our children. On October 24, 2024, Grand View School hosted a Safety Fair for our children in the after school program. The students were able to interact with members from various safety careers. These included presentations and vehicles from the Grand River Dam Authority, Cherokee Nation EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff, the Forestry Department, County Commissioner for District one, and Lake Region Electric. This was a wonderful event for our students and community members to interact and promote safety throughout the community. Thank you to all those who participated!

Ryan Altaffer, a fifth grade student here at Grand View, performed alongside Wes Studie in The Story of Nancy Ward NANYEHI on October 11th and 12th. Ryan portrayed Young Dragging Canoe. Ryan is very thankful for this opportunity.
