Yearbook presales are underway. The cost is $25 if you pay before March 31. After April 1, the cost is $35. Summer School applications have been sent home with your student. Summer School runs from May 22 to June 15 (Mondays-Thursdays), from 8:00-3:00. Please sign up your student for summer school before April 21, to help us with staffing decisions. On Wednesday, March 22nd, students in grades 3-8 will take a survey on bullying and feeling safe at school.  The survey will be conducted in the students’ homeroom class.  If you do not want your child to participate in this survey, you may call the front office at 918-456-5131. Or if you have any questions, please call the front office. Thank you.

On Tuesday, March 21st Grand View students in grades prek- 7th grade will bring home pre-enrollment packets for the 2023-2024 school year.  Please complete the packets and have your child/children return the packets to the homeroom teacher by Friday, March 24th.  If you have questions about the packets, please contact the Grand View office at 918-456-5131. Family Literacy Night is Tuesday, March 21, 5:30-6:30 pm. Please come to the school with your child and see all the wonderful literacy activities. Parents are invited to the Book Fair during Literacy Night! Book Fair begins this week. Students will have opportunities to purchase books. If purchasing any books, please put your child's money in a sealed envelope. Make sure that their name and the name of their teacher is on that envelope. Cash only please, and taxes will be applied to purchases.

This is a reminder, if you have not picked up your cookie dough, please do it today, March 9th from 3:15 to 7:00. No one will be available after today due to spring break.   If you have picked up your cookie dough and have any discrepancies please call or text Mary at 918-931-2850 before March 20th. So we can get it resolved. Thank you, PTO

Cookie dough should arrive tomorrow afternoon. Pick up time will be from 3:15 until 5:30 tomorrow. We are going to have a drive-through pick up, for the orders. You will enter the gate by the Early Childhood building and drive towards the cafeteria. A PTO representative will be there to assist you. Once we've loaded up your cookie dough, please exit through the black gate on the east side of the school. Thank you, PTO

Reminders for this week: 1. There will be no Boys & Girls Club/After School on March 9th. 2. No school on March 10 due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. 3. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 9th from 4:00-7:00pm and on Friday, March 10th from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Early childhood and elementary parents, teachers will send out information about how to schedule a conference. 4. Spring Break begins on March 13 and classes resume on March 20th.

There will be a community meeting to present the Grand View facilities and construction plans on Wednesday March 8th from 5:30 to 6:30 in the Grand View Cafeteria. The expenditure of district funds and the need for bond funds will be discussed in relation to the master plan. A bond election is scheduled for April 4, 2023.

Cookie dough update: Because of the weather up north the shipping for the cookie dough has been delayed. It will be shipped on March 6th and reach us by March 8th. We will be planning for pick up either on March 8th or March 9th depending on the time of arrival. Thank you for helping with this fundraiser. PTO

Grand View Spring Break Bash 1st thru 4th Grade Dancing, Bounce Houses, Concession, and Fun!! Saturday, March 18th 12:00pm-2:00pm Grand View Gym $5 for Entry plus Concession A flyer has gone home that includes a permission slip that must be signed before your child can attend and an order form for concession. Tickets will be sold from Monday, February 27 thru Thursday, March 9. Please send money and permission slip with your child to school. We will also be taking money the day of the event, however we are asking that you purchase tickets and concession ahead of time. This will allow us to get appropriate bounce houses and sufficient items for the concession. Parents who sent Valentine gram bears to their children at GV. Due to shipping issues we DID NOT get all our bears in time to get to the students today. Some student pre-k & kindergarten received their bears. The rest of the students it was a hit or miss. With this being said, we did get your child their heart and the candy that was to be attached. We have the bears in transit and will be handed out this week. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding. If you need to reach me, my number is (918) 931-2850. Spring/group pictures will be taken on Friday, Feb. 17. There will be no Boys & Girls Club/Afterschool on Feb. 17, and no school on Feb. 20. Grand View School will not accept Valentine deliveries from February 13th through the 17th, as we do not have the personnel to deliver these gifts. If you want your child to receive a gift at school, you may order a Valentine Gram from PTO who will have their members deliver gifts before school is dismissed. A public forum to review and discuss proposals/plans for the expenditure of Grand View School ESSER funds will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 5:00-5:30 P.M. in the cafeteria. Grand View residents and staff are encouraged to attend.
