Reminder, tomorrow September 3rd is a Virtual Day. School will resume after the Labor Day holiday. School resumesTuesday, September 7th at 8:00 am. Grand View families have done a great job notifying the school about ill children, Dr.'s appointments and COVID testing results. You trusting us to make the right safety decisions and to keep Grand View students safe is truly appreciated. Know that we trust your judgement too. If you have a child at home for quarantine, you may also elect to keep brothers or sisters home too. If you keep a sibling at home we urge you to contact the school ASAP. Simply let us know the name of the child(ren) that is staying with a quarantined sibling. Be sure and ask for a distance learning packet for the children. Your communication with the school regarding COVID and quarantine does the following: a) Keeps you from getting the automated attendance calls each day. b) Notifies the teachers that they need to provide school work in the form of learning packets or online learning packets. c) Ensures that the learning packets keep your child caught up with their classmates. d) Also reminds us to count your child's absence as excused. Remember, don't send a child to school if they feel ill. Get them tested at once and let us know the results. Mrs. Walls 918-457-0112 Thank you for partnering with us to keep GV open.

Good evening. Important info for the week of August 9th. School opens at 7:15 daily. FREE breakfast is served at 7:30. Class begins at 8:00. School ends at 3:00. 21st Century after-school program kicks off Monday at 3:00 and ends daily at 5:30. All children must be enrolled in the after-school program in order to stay. Make sure your child, and the school knows if your child’s after-school plans change: parent pickup, bus rider, or staying in after-school. Please keep your child’s contact info and pick-up list up-to-date. The COVID situation in Northeastern Oklahoma is concerning. Remember if any family members exhibit symptoms, please keep your child home, notify the school, & get the family tested. COVID precautions are practiced school wide & indoor mask-wearing is strongly encouraged. Students are required to wear masks when riding the bus. Again, we appreciate all of the support from parents & teachers complimenting our COVID prevention strategies. Kids came to school wearing masks & staff have modeled this behavior too. Our school board members even mention positive comments from community members. These safe practices by you and your children will be key to keeping our school open this year.
