The Grand View Book Fair begins Monday, March 11 and ends Friday, March 15. The book fair will also be open during Parent/Teachers Conferences on Thursday evening and Friday morning.

A small group of Grand View academic team members traveled to North Rock Creek in Shawnee on Saturday, February 24, 2024, for the ORES Academic Classic Competition. Students competed in four subjects: Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science, on individually scored multiple-choice tests consisting of 100 questions with 50 minutes to complete each. Twenty schools competed in the competition with six members each. The top six competitors in each subject were awarded medals.
Congratulations to Grand View student, Anderson Hatley, for placing in 3 categories! Anderson won 1st place (State Champion) in Social Studies, 2nd place (State Runner-up) in Science, and 5th place in Mathematics.
Way to go, Chargers! We are so proud of your dedication and hard work!
The pre-enrollment forms for the 2024-2025 school year is due tomorrow, March 1. Students need to bring the completed forms to their homeroom teacher. This paperwork must be turned in for all students. Thank you for helping us prepare for next school year.
Enrollment for Pre-K and new Kindergarten students who will be attending Grand View for the first time in August 2024 will be April 4 from 3:30-6:00 at the new front office. Parents are encouraged to pick up an enrollment packet at the office any time before April 4.
On Monday, February 26, Grand View students in grades PK - 7th grade will bring home pre-enrollment packets for the 2024-2025 school year. Please complete the packets and have your child/children return the packets to the homeroom teacher by Friday, March 1st. Oklahoma Oil and Natural Gas partnered with Engage Learning to provide 3 weeks of STEM camp for our students. Here 4th grade is working on snap circuits!
Cookie dough pick up will be tomorrow Thursday, February 22, starting at 3:10 until 5:30 pm. Go through the back gate pick up at the dock and then exit out the west side.

Students from Mrs. Wilson's classroom have been putting their customer service skills to work on most Fridays throughout the school year. Students get the opportunity to develop their social interaction skills and money skills while serving the Grand View staff. We've noticed a great improvement since implementing the Charger Cafe!
Our hearts overflowed this week! Dressing in our Valentine's best, making HEARTfelt projects, and pouring out our love of paint in Art Class. We love our Chargers!

Grand View School had its 9th annual Spelling Bee. We had 27 competitors from 1st through 8th grades.

Grand View school made quite a statement while attending this year’s Mathematics and Engineering Design Competition held in Muskogee. Aurora Arbaugh, Anderson Hatley, Gracie Thomas, and Brady Taylor entered the balloon powered car competition with two vehicles they had built from the ground up. The construction and testing process took several weeks. Aurora and Anderson placed first in their division while Gracie and Brady were barely edged out of the top three. Mr. Bryant says this is only Grand View’s second year entering the competition and that he is extremely proud of them.
Earlier this week, Cherokee Nation Dental Prevention Program was on campus offering free dental fluoride to all students who brought back a parent consent form. This program is to help protect teeth against tooth decay. Each student that received dental care was given a goody bag filled with dental hygiene care supplies. Thank you Cherokee Nation Health services Dental Program for helping keep our smiles bright!

Ms. Kobriger's 3rd grade class completed their animal research projects after learning about inherited and learned behaviors, and vertebrate groups. The students worked in groups to research the characteristics, habitat, history, and interesting facts about a given animal. They had to work together to plan, organize their research, and present the content to the class. Great job!
