Good afternoon Grand View parents, This is a reminder that the school has free COVID rapid tests for students. To save time you can bring your children to school to be tested. It is important to note that you need to call our Health Aide, Mrs. Ladona Walls. She will set a time and location for their test. Ladona will then have the COVID test kit ready and meet you at your car. Appointments also ensure that we stock enough test kits. Please remember to follow COVID safety strategies: check daily for symptoms, take temperatures each morning, wash hands frequently. Immediately test family members if they have symptoms, and test any family members 3-5 days after exposure to someone with COVID. If you have questions about changing COVID quarantine guidelines, or to schedule a rapid test, you may reach Mrs. Walls at 918-456-5131 extension 505.

Good evening Grand View parents. Due to record COVID spikes in our county Grand View School is canceling this week's activities that involve campus visitors effective tonight. The spelling bee will be tomorrow as planned, but again no outside visitors. Additionally, the campus will be closed on January 13 and 14, Students will move to Asynchronous Virtual Learning for Thursday and Friday lessons. These decisions were made after careful consultation with Cherokee Nation Public Health. They report new COVID cases today at almost 3x the rate of last fall's highest single day total. They estimate the highest number of new cases is still 7-14 days away. More details about the Asynchronous Virtual Learning days will be available by mid-week. Thank you for again adapting to keep Grand View students and staff safe.
