Our 3rd graders are helping us read our Redbud Read-alouds. Each class (Pre-K -3rd grade) chooses their favorite out of two books read each class visit. At the end of the contest we will send our class votes to the Redbud creators and then we will get to see what book wins for the entire state.
Just a reminder that spring and classroom pictures will be taken Friday.
Attention Bus 3 Riders:
Due to a driver shortage the P.M. route for bus 3 will run 45 minutes late on Thursday, Feb. 6. Bus 3 riders will stay in after school until 3:45 when a driver is available.

Reminder: As Valentine’s Day approaches, we kindly request your cooperation in refraining from having gifts delivered to the school for your child. Deliveries during school hours cause distractions and disrupt the learning environment. Additionally, managing these deliveries can be challenging for staff which may lead to lost items and broken gifts.

Just a reminder there will be no school Monday, January 20th, in observance of Martin Luther King Holiday. Also the middle school basketball games scheduled for tomorrow have been cancelled.
The 6th and 7th grade Cherokee Students went to Owasso on January 15, 2025 to compete in their annual Cherokee Challenger. For the third year in a row the team won the Legends Trophy for the most points scored. The competition is to show proficiency in the Cherokee Culture and Core Subject Knowledge.

Reed Oxford, Grace Thomas, Maggie Rhodes, Brooklyn Hayes and Noah Wolfe.

The 3rd/4th grade basketball teams will play at Grand View tomorrow morning (Friday). Girls play at 9:15 and boys play at 9:45. Please park across the road in the gravel parking lot and enter the school grounds at the south corner gate.
Congratulations to the 24/25 school spelling bee champion 4th grader Amreen Dawood. Congratulations to the school spelling bee runner up, 8th grader Ema Garcia. Amreen will compete at the state level in Jenks in March. Both students will compete in a regional spelling bee in Muskogee in April.

Holy cow, look who visited Grand View yesterday! Chick-Fil-A visited Grand View and brought their mascot to announce their grand opening in Tahlequah.
Grand View Parents and Staff, Evening activities (the after-school program and ball games) have been cancelled for Thursday, January 9.
Just a reminder that school begins Tuesday, January 7th.
We have changed the location of the middle school Winter Semi-Formal. The dance will now be in the gym. You may drop your students off and pick them up in front of the gym. DOORS WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL 6:00. PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR STUDENT OFF EARLY.
We would also like to remind parents of the following:
*The dance is from 6:00-8:00.
*The dance is for Grand View students only. Please take pictures before dropping your student off. Parents can not come into the dance.
*In order to get in your student will need their permission slip and $5. We have a list of those students who have already turned in their permission slips and/or paid.
*No outside food or drinks- Concession will be available.
*It is a school event. Students must be academically eligible to attend and school dress code will be enforced. If your student does not meet these expectations, they will not be allowed in.
The Winter Semi-Formal has been a highlight for teachers and students! We love being able to share this event with them! Great memories have been made and we can't wait for this opportunity to create more!
