Grand View News

The students in Ms. Littledeer's Cherokee class competed in the Cherokee Challenge Bowl held at Greasy Immersion School this week.  Grand View Team 1 placed first in the first and second grade division on Tuesday.  Grand View Team 5 took first place on Wednesday in the 6th-8th grade division.  The teams studied hard and attended Cherokee Class four hours a week since the beginning of school.  The competition was stiff but Grand View worked hard and brought home a "sweet victory" in the words of Luke, one of the competitors.  The mural in the team pictures says, "We will speak Cherokee today, tomorrow, and always."  These students are learning today and will be our tomorrow.  Ms. Littledeer is helping to keep the Cherokee language and traditions alive for tomorrow.   Great job team Grand View!
