Grand View competed at the ORES State Track Meet on Friday. The Chargers brought home three gold, two silver, and two bronze medals with other students placing and bringing home some bling.
Carter Kelly placed 1st in discuss and 6th in shot, while Matthew Chandler brought home a gold medal in the 1600m race and bronze in the 800m. Alayna McAlpine brought home three medals with a first place 200m, 3rd in the 100m dash, and 5th in the 400m dash.
Daniel Carey earned two silver medals in long jump and 400m dash, and added a 4th place finish 400m dash. Austin Brown placed 5th in the 1600m, Abby Combs placed fourth at shot, fifth at disc, and sixth in the long jump. Other students that competed at state were Jassir Hernandez placing 7th at shot, Amara Richardson coming in 10th place, and Corey Kingfisher finished 11th at long jump.
