Parent Drop Off - School staff will be available to supervise students beginning at 7:05. PreK and Kindergarten students must be dropped off at the elementary. Students in grades 1-8 arriving before 7:30 will report to the cafeteria where they will have the opportunity to eat breakfast. Students arriving after 7:30 can be dropped off at either the elementary front entrance or in front of the gym. Breakfast for grades 1st-8th is from 7:15-7:55. Students in grades PreK and Kindergarten will go with their class for breakfast at 7:40. Please have PreK and Kindergarten students here by 7:40. The gate for the middle school will close at 8:00. All students arriving after 8:00 will be dropped off at the elementary front office.
Parent Pick Up - Dismissal time for all students is 3:00. Until the after school program starts, the afternoon pick up line will be crowded, so please be patient. PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students will be picked up at the elementary along with 2nd-8th grade siblings. Once the car line reaches the road, only vehicles traveling south on Jarvis will be allowed to enter the parking lot. All other 2nd-8th grade students will be picked up in front of the gym. This car line will be double file in the gravel parking lot and begin moving when the gate opens.
**To lessen your after school wait time, consider getting in the car line later -3:10 to 3:15.
**Also, riding the bus home is also a good option.
All students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. Students will no longer have access to a microwave oven to heat food; therefore, students bringing their own lunch need to have items that do not require heating.
In order to maximize your child’s instructional time, individual student birthday parties will not be conducted in classrooms. School personnel (front office staff, teachers) will not accept cupcakes, cookies, drinks, candy, etc.
Open house will be August 5th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Basic school supplies are provided to students by the Grand View PTO and the Johnson O’Malley Program.
