Congratulations to the Cherokee Language and Culture Class students and their teacher, Ms. Littledeer!!Grand View School's Cherokee Language and Culture Class recently traveled to Norman, OK to compete in the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair. Under the direction of Darlene Littledeer, students received trophies in their divisions. Grace Thomas, Individual Traditional Song, sang "Orphan Child" and won a 1st place trophy. Janeece GoingSnake and J'Lee Ramsey, Duet Traditional Song, garnered a 3rd place trophy for their rendition of "Sunday School Song". Students won a 1st place trophy for Large Group Modern Song, singing "God's Children", and a 1st place trophy for Large Group Traditional Song, singing "At the Cross".  

We're so proud of these students and Cherokee Nation's Teacher of the Year, Ms. Littledeer!
