Grand View students help one another

Good things are happening every day at Grand View School, according its administrators. Superintendent Ed Kennedy said students are engaged in a variety of learning activities and acts of helping one another out. "Sam Bilby is a second-grade student at Grand View School and he is battling cancer," said Kennedy.

Students get creative to help bring litter awareness to state

Nearly every county in Oklahoma participated in the 2017 Trash Poster Contest bringing litter awareness to youth in the state. Thirteen students' posters from across the state were selected as winners in this year's contest. Twelve of the posters will be featured in the 2018 Trash Poster Calendar and one additional poster was selected as the 2017 Promotional Poster of the Year.

Documents Required to Enroll Your Child:

1) Verification of Residency:
 • Cherokee County Assessors' office printout of address or filed Homestead Exemption form
• One of the following: a current copy of the utility bill, phone bill, rent receipt, leases agreement or driver's license with physical address (No P.O. Boxes)
2) Birth Certificate
3) Immunization Record
  • All series must be complete or up-to-date
4) Social Security Card
5) Sooner Care/Medicaid  (if applicable)
6) CDIB and Tribal Membership Card (if applicable)
Age Requirements:
Pre-Kindergarten- 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.
Kindergarten- 5years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.
First Grade-must be 6 years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.
All students enrolling in Grand View must do so at the Grand View Central Office with a legal parent or guardian. Students must enroll using their legal name. Using a name other than the one shown on the Birth Certificate requires legal documentation as proof of change.

Employment Opportunities

Grand View Public School seeks motivated educators to help our students “do their best”. As a result of recent grant funding  Grand View School is currently seeking applicants for full-time and part time teachers, and full-time and part time tutors in early childhood and elementary.  We urge retired teachers and university students majoring in education or early childhood to  apply.  Positions are available immediately. Grand View School is currently operating on a 4 day week Tuesday through Friday and pays Social Security.
