Leadership Class

Grand View's Leadership Class took part in the Respect Campaign which asks students to pledge to stop saying the R-word as a starting point toward creating more accepting attitudes and communities for all people.
The R-word is the word 'retard(ed)'. Why does it hurt? The R-word hurts because it is exclusive. It's offensive. It's derogatory.
The leadership teams' work didn't go unnoticed, and their picture was featured on the Special Olympics website. This picture is a screen shot from the site. Great job students keep leading the way.

3rd & 4th Grade Academic Team

Grand View School's 3rd and 4th grade Academic Team traveled to Inola to compete in the Oklahoma Association for Academic Competition Fourth Grade Academic Bowl Alpha Tournament and garnered Runner-Up position.  Team Coach Arden Sampson said "The team competed in 4 games and tied for 1st place, but they were awarded Runner Up due to the fact that the other team scored more points overall. I'm so proud of these students."  Pictured front row L-R:  Kamea Pritchett, Vega Lee, Jade Gregory, Natalee Page; back row L-R:  Daniel Bright, Rachel Nutt, Xander Moss, Dathan Carter, Olivia Woolard
