Educators tell Oklahoma House Common Education Committee they are focused on student succes

"Oklahoma is doing a great job with education. Sometimes, we don't give our schools the acclamation they deserve."

“All students deserve access to a high-quality education regardless of race, income, or location," said Supt. Hofmeister.  "Our hope is that the Equitable Access to Excellent Educators plan will break the barriers and begin to strengthen the bonds at every school in the state. By implementing these strategies, we will see teachers more prepared and students more eager to learn.”

State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister has said she would prefer to get rid of the writing test and use that money instead to help pay for teacher salary hikes.
