Grand View students place in Ag Day poster contest

Grand View middle school art students recently entered the Ag Day Poster Contest sponsored by Ag in the Classroom. AITC received 5,000 entries across the state of Oklahoma, and two entries that placed were submitted by Grand View students Emmalee Thorne and Hazel McLane.

Students get creative to help bring litter awareness to state

Nearly every county in Oklahoma participated in the 2017 Trash Poster Contest bringing litter awareness to youth in the state. Thirteen students' posters from across the state were selected as winners in this year's contest. Twelve of the posters will be featured in the 2018 Trash Poster Calendar and one additional poster was selected as the 2017 Promotional Poster of the Year.

Grand View students take awards in statewide contest

T hough among more than 100 schools with students competing in an art contest, Grand View School got the big awards that were announced Tuesday. A full school assembly was called to reveal sixth-grader Emmalee Thorne as creator of the first-place entry of the eighth Eastern Oklahoma State Spelling Bee Art Contest.
